The Olympian Rocky Road to Success

The Olympian Rocky Road to Success

The Olympic and Paralympic Games are almost upon us and it is already surrounded by so much controversy. What should be a really positive and momentous event is marred with late delivery, inefficient security and fears that the transport system will grind to a halt with more than £4 million additional visitors expected in London.

From a more positive viewpoint, we already have the world’s elite athletes descending upon London and we should be swelling with pride with such talent in our capital city. These athletes have trained for years – some for their whole lives in preparation for this extraordinary event. Such dedication and devotion is admirable but has to be coupled with great skill and a great support team pushing the athletes to give a great performance.

Hemming Robeson connect with and work with the ‘elite’ in the interim management world. Those individuals who stand out in their profession and have been through extraordinary trials and experiences to make them the most experienced interim executives in the UK – and internationally. By their own admission, some of our most senior executives will tell you that it is impossible to deliver change for clients alone. They need to have a strong team around them – that they create, mentor or develop. Like our Olympians they have a clear agenda, focus and the skill to deliver.

We all wait in anticipation for The Games to commence having waited for the Olympics to come round again for the last 4 years. Luckily, our interim executives don’t have such a long wait between assignments until they compete in their next Olympian challenge!
