We decided to run the event again as there were a number of our interim managers who were unable to join us the first time around due to diary committments. We were thrilled to see so many of our interim management community out in force and so many familiar faces and friends known to us.
The masterclass held at the Old Bailey was enjoyed by all and judging by the comments we have received from our interim executives it proved to be a valuable evening, not only in terms of networking, but also we all learned a great deal while we were there.
The speakers covered key issues and elements to consider in relation to your Director’s duties and then we had an overview of tax planning. Meriel Schindler then focused on indemnities and D&O insurance which was extremely enlightening. The last speaker covered Operational Employment issues, which was particularly interesting as some of the legislation has changed recently.
Finally, we had a good catch up with our inteirm managers and had a glass or two to mull over the presentation and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
Again, a huge thank you to Withers for hosting another informative and enjoyable evening.
Some comments from our Interim Executives:
A brief note to thank you for arranging an excellent presentation at Withers yesterday. The atmosphere was excellent, relaxed but professional and encouraging debate, and the Withers team answered our questions in an honest, clear, and brief style which was heartening. I’d love to come to similar events again please – I learned a lot both by listening and by active participation.
Thanks again for setting up the Fiduciary course last night, I really appreciated it and found the networking post equally beneficial. Funny enough, when taking on these challenges you hardly consider the long term liabilities let alone think of negotiating terms for such. Much obliged.
Pitched at just the right level of detail I came away better informed and aware of the issues covered. It was also great to see you, Nick and the team as well as meeting up with old friends and meeting the Withers team.
Thanks for the event yesterday, it was surprising as to what we need to consider as interims!
I found it extremely interesting and helpful, and the range of topics very relevant. These are all issues that I come across on a frequent basis in my assignments and Withers presented them with great clarity and humour which kept us all very engaged. The adding of the ‘moral spectrum to tax avoidance’ will certainly challenge all of us in the future. It was also a very useful networking event and I always enjoy meeting up with new people who are facing similar challenges.
